We are Zenzele (zen’zay-lay), a natural hair & body product line specially formulated for kinky, curly & loc (ed) hair.
Zenzele was founded in 2010 from the 15 year natural hair styling experience and natural product awareness of Nereshte Kambishamba. Having styled various natural hair textures and grades from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Nereshte found herself frustrated by not finding a single product line containing mostly natural ingredients for the cosmopolitan curly, kinky & loc (ed) hair. Nereshte decided to start her own, thus sustaining Zenzele’s meaning. “Do It For Yourself!”
7 years later, the motivation to began Zenzele came, as a dedication to her late mother who’s name is Zenzele.
Sporting a head of natural hair her entire life, Nereshte claims, “healthy hair and body is our first concern. Chemical based cosmetic companies market hair voluming, thickening, and growth; but to what end”? “It can take as few as one year for chemical based cosmetic products to thin hair, diminish shine, crater skin and a host of other adverse effects”.
Zenzele’s understanding and philosophy, infused with an aloe vera base, organic oils and the highest botanicals are proven to nurture the skin, rejuvenate hair, enhance natural curl patterns and replenish moisture and natural oils to hair follicles.
